Perth’s Omnis Group shortlisted for 4 industry awards

Perth’s Justin Flavel and Omnis Group are officially in the running to take home four awards at the prestigious self-managed super and accounting event of the year.

Omnis Group has been shortlisted as Finalists in three categories at the state-based 2018 SMSF and Accounting Awards, in partnership with SuperConcepts.

Omnis Group Managing Director, Justin Flavel, is also a Finalist for WA Partner of the Year.

Now in its second year, the SMSF and Accounting Awards continue to honour the individuals and businesses leading the way in superannuation and accounting advice by championing professionalism, quality and innovation.

Justin Flavel said he is humbled by the nominations.

“That Omnis Group is recognised for our contribution to the accounting and self-managed super industry reinforces the strength of our business in connecting with our clients and community,” he said.

The best advisers and firms in the industry will be recognised across 12 individual and group categories.

Omnis Group is shortlisted as WA Finalists for Accounting Firm of the Year, Small Business Adviser of the Year and Marketing Program of the Year. Justin Flavel CPA is also a WA Finalist for Partner of the Year.

SMSF and Accounting Awards 2018 begin in Brisbane on 18 October, followed by Adelaide on 25 October, Melbourne on 15 November, Sydney on 23 November and Perth on 29 November.

Justin Flavel

Managing Director

Justin’s experience spans across 20 years in accounting, financial analysis and general business practice.

Although born and bred on the land, Justin’s interest was more in spreadsheets, ledgers, and finance which led him to attend university. In 1992, Justin graduated with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Finance. As well as qualifying as a CPA member and becoming a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, he began gaining practical experience in small and mid-tier accounting practices.

During the late 90s, Justin decided to expand his horizons and travel through Europe. It was during this time that he seized the opportunity to expand his knowledge on the workings of large organisations by taking on roles in multinational corporations.

Today, Justin’s passion is in facilitating businesses to grow and evolve. His focus is on acting in the role of business mentor to help clients develop the full potential of their businesses. He joins clients on their unique journey, and provides the tools and knowledge they need along the way to make the right decisions.

Justin’s aim for his clients parallels his own philosophy and personal journey—focusing on his own career growth and business success while maintaining balance in his life with his wife and three daughters.
