As a Certified Practising Accountant, Daniel Carlino manages Omnis Group’s clients by reviewing Business Activity Statements, financial accounts and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
He has a strong understanding of how best to work with small and medium enterprise, likely because Daniel hails from a family business himself.
An experienced Perth CPA, Daniel loves nothing better than providing a level of service to clients that motivates them and forms valuable relationships, which has knock-on effects for how he works with each business. Since joining Omnis Group in January 2018, he has put his ‘Xero Certified Consultant’ skills to good use.
“Streamlining bookkeeping and accounting processes frees up business owners from reams of manual paperwork to do things that really make a difference in their businesses,” says Daniel.
With Daniel knowing businesses inside and out, he is a safe pair of hands preparing for the rigours of another financial year-end.
“We’re heading into tax planning time so it’s time to think about getting the year-end information organised especially with the 15 May lodgement deadline,” Daniel says. “The ATO is less sympathetic so getting cash flow in order is a great way to know if you can meet any tax liabilities well before 30 June.”
Around regulatory deadlines, Daniel is taking on a broader role at Omnis Group which builds on his solid accounting expertise.
“I’m looking forward to coordinating technical training for our accounting team,” added Daniel. “Our team has great camaraderie but they do work hard and play hard. I joined Omnis Group looking for a change and the opportunity to grow and further my career so it’s great to be able to sink my teeth into a project that’s internally focussed.”
Outside of work Daniel is now a keen cyclist after retiring his soccer kit. He also looks forward to reconnecting with family in Sicily as he travels.
